Re: issue to follow up from Saturday 23 April gig in cafe

Is it forbidden to drink Buckfast? Haven't been NM for a while and I remember seeing a lot of folks drinking it so ... forbidden or not? This guy sounds like a real pain, we should spread the word and make sure he never does that again, its a total lack of respect and consideration for all the volun...

Re: Leith Festival - anybody up for a parade?

- A stall at the Gala Day. We could sell some food, run a petition, take donations, hand out flyers, do anything that'd be useful. It'll cost us £45, but I reckon we could make that back with only 6 or 7 people putting in a couple days effort. Any volunteers? Deadline here is mid-May. I'd be up for...

Re: Huge mess left in Bristo Hall after a play on Wed, March

Yeah Harry^^ they were pretty exhuberant... which is why we charge desposits right? As Shannon said you can't who's going to be unruly or troublesome^^ I know the building manager is the person in charge of the hall booking and I know this means Chris. I just didn't want to give any name before the ...

Huge mess left in Bristo Hall after a play on Wed, March 23r

Hi there! This isn't going to be a massive rant or anything, but I thought I'd report the situation. Some folks booked the Bristo Hall on Wednesday (23rd march) and performed a play, "School for Scandal", from 7 til 10ish. It all went well and I think it's great to have theater in the Forest, but ap...

Re: hello forest ... kitchen couture?

phew+1

I suggest we customize the hats and aprons with different DIY patches (from collective and movements like coal action scotland, RAWA, etc. etc. or local bands...) rather than having them all labeled Forest :D

If we have to wear the bloody uniform, let's at least try to make it different...

Re: hole spacing and tables

Boo wooo I'm working from 6pm that day :(

Last year we took the tables upstairs in the hall so several people could work on a table at the same time + plenty of space, if the hall's free it could be a good idea?

Re: The fleeting cleanliness of our toilets

I didn't find any Ecover Toilet Cleaner in the cleaning cupboard the other day, just some nasty, chemical thing, and there was barely enough for all the loos... (men's stank of neglected stables btw... self explanatory) so if everybody agrees I wouldn't mind starting to apply this "quick cleaning an...

Re: Front of house, tell me!!

what about a built in TV screen showing peoples animations on a loop? You could do one with fruit-heads? I am up for running an animation workshop. I can ask ECA folks who showed their movies at the films fundraiser if they'd be okay with us using some of their films? There was some pretty nice stu...

Re: We Have Run Out Of Internet

Yeah we could put a sign on the fusebox saying "please don't use as light switches" or "please don't touch, if you do an army of trolls will follow you to your house and paint your red during your sleep". Anyway, it might seem obvious to most people we should not use fusebox as a light switch, but I...

Re: The fleeting cleanliness of our toilets

Is there a cleaning rota we could put in the loos? like a sheet with a date that specifies when the toilets were last cleaned, and signed by whoever did it... It's a good way to keep track of when the toilets were last thoroughly cleaned, and might be a good occasion for KM or NM to give them a quic...

for people to download the poster in return for a donation - still cannot imagine how to connect the two processes but wonderful if it is simple.

Re: Printer Crunch Arg

Maybe we could have a sheet of paper with the common printer errors/problems on it and how to fix them, readable and visible, on the wall near by the printer (very often it's probably quite simple to fix an error? but we can't all guess... also not everyone knows about getting the machine serviced)....

That's loads of us who love this poster - Collector's Item re fundraising perhaps? Bet there's more than one person who would pay good money for a limited edition with a unique stamped dateline to be designed especially (download in exchange for minimum donation) Is this possible technically? Hellow. Here's more info about the event. Film screenings will start around 3pm and will go on until 10pm. A dancing party will be held afterward with DJs:) We're planning to have breaks in between screenings, of course, and will project most of the films in the café. We'll ask people to respect the...
