Re: Badge making machine
I use www.mybadges.co.uk for our badges at the shop. Having done a review of merchandising and suppliers recently and giving consideration to the cost to do it in-house, they appeared to be the best value for money and comparable when considering the costs of purchasing all the badge bits separately...

Re: Pockets is famous???? no..... really??
You should cover Merry Christmas (I don't want to fight tonight) by the Ramones!!
I think a cover of that would sound good on the kazookeylele - maybe it's not well known enough for the Tonight show though?

Re: Pockets is famous???? no..... really??
The Tonight Show does have a talent co-ordinator called Bryan Branly. The NBC studios they fil it in are in Burbank California, which is also the area code of the telephone number you have been given.
May be fake, but can't rule out it being real either.

Re: Forest in Guardian
http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/theatre/2008/08/edinburgh_festival_has_anyone.html ...my main reason to dismiss the pessimists came on Tuesday at the opening of the Forest Fringe. Yes, it's already had a ludicrous amount of press attention and the Guardian's very own Charlotte Higgins blogged there thro...

Brett Dennen - So much more. Andy and I saw this guy supporting Rodrigo y Gabriella last year and after seeing him perform I had to sneek off before the main act to ensure I got his CD. With hints of acoustic, pop, reggae, folk and latin music his sound is great, but it's his lyrics that hooked me -...

So, the volunteering emails are still being forwarded to me - which is fine, I have been picking them up and answering them on a weekly basis as far as possible (although I reckon I am only getting 2-3 per month anways, nbot including the EUS ones, which I have been forwarding to Gaz). Maybe we could get round that by having folding tables and chairs kept aside to be brought out to increase capacity for customers on busy nights. If it's not a given - i.e. they are only brought out when genuinely required this means that they will only be used by people who are in the forest to att...

Might it be possible/a good idea to turn the front room more in to an information space/community action space/show of what the Forest in the larger sense is? I know there have been grumblings that people see us as 'just a cafe' - the front room, I think, buys in to this. Could we get rid of the tab...

The computer in the office playing up.
I was trying to print out promo posters today for the jumble/car bootless sale and the computer in the office (the one on the left hand side) decided to throw a tantrum. When I was trying to print the posters (from an adobe photoshop file) the computer froze. I tried to bring up taskmanager to stop ...
