That printer is a bloody menace.

Swithun, I do intend to supply some photos for this but haven't had time to pick out and tweak them. Should be able to do it tonight or in the morning and bring them along.

I will also see if I can bring a colorimeter to calibrate the projector for the day.

I jiggled the cables inside and started it up and it worked okay.

Might be worth taping the SATA connectors in the machines. They don't stay in as well as the old IDE ones used to.

Yeah, any flatbed can be used but the proper film scanners have higher resolution... still, not seen the negatives yet so don't know if the quality will warrant the extra resolution anyway.

I have a whole pile of glass rectangles, about A4 size and bit less than a centimetre thick, nice and strong, they were used for shelves in a trophy cabinet. You could put them together using some wood, like a paned window, and get something stronger than a big sheet of glass or perspex.

Last time I counted there were 7 flat panel screens around, we don't need to buy any more!

For the action room I think it would be good to have two CRTs and two LCDs. CRTs are bigger and have better colour reproduction for photo and graphics work. LCDs are easier on the eyes for typing and layout.

Bebo and a couple of other sites got blocked because people were hogging the cafe machine for long periods using them. There's no need to block things from the wifi though, I'll sort that out.
