Can you get Festival working on the jukebox Mac? Then it could introduce tracks and read out messages. I had that when I ran an Icecast radio server - Radio Sisyphus - where the rock doesn't stop.

It was because of this that I got some USB extension cables. They were somewhere hidden in the bottom drawer of the big filing cabinet. It would only work if the boxes were boxed in, and the USB extension cables couldn't be removed. It is pretty depressing.

My old film club website

I managed to scrape my old film club website out of the Internet Archive. It's here at the moment. Even then I was into metaphores involving bodily functions. But what a programme! Most of it shown using 16mm projectors, on the second biggest screen in town.

I have one. It prints OK, but the paper feed is a bit flaky, so you need to feed sheets in one by one, or keep a hold of the extra sheets, so they don't get sucked in. You need to use Icecast. A basic streaming server is easy to set up. It becomes cool when you have a web interface where people can modify the playlist, see what is currently playing and coming next, use text-to-speech for a robot shock jock, and have interaction with the world outside the cafe.

Thanks. I'll get printing. I could fit 2 prints in the frames double the usual size (and the A2 ones as well), and maybe put some of the text in the A4 frames.

I'll let you know when I should expect the photos back from the printing people.

Once I'd stopped laughing, I ordered two of these PSUs. Bad things never happen to just one of these computers. And I got a disk for myself. They should arrive on Tuesday. If you can keep the disk safe, I can pick it up next weekend.

The fileserver has two big disks already.
