close the kitchen completely 10 minutes before films. announce films. close the curtain and hang a sign which says 'film night, kitchen closed, silence if entering, no laptops, and has the film program' - or something like that. switch all lights off. between films, open the kitchen briefly for drin...

by the same token, there is no reason that the cave and building cant be dealt with by the same wg especially as i am in both.

but they are quite distinct and require different skills and interests which not all people share.

this is why i think maybe front of house should be divided up between all groups, i know its a weird idea (maybe even a bad one) but it would mean its very celar which group is responsible for all things on the wall, maybe a list of standard foh responsibilities would help? traditionally they have b...

improving furniture is another one.

i used to like it when i did front of house.

but its a good point dan makes. what about not having foh as a working group, but figuring out all the responsibilities and dividing them or rotating them between the other groups?

please can we not call it the 'community working group', how about: 'the non-politically aligned working group', that way it is very clear what it is, and what it isnt.

or you could call it 'ethics and morals'

i think 'community' is too ambiguous.

I always thought of front of house as being day to day appearance and presentation. flowers, candels, sofa covers, arranging furniture. maybe touching up some paintwork if it was fucked up, but not ever actually repainting anything. colour schemes and big changes i think would belong in galleries. all i object to is the price. i think having potatoes (and seet potatoes!) would be super ace! i reckon second hand you should easily be able to get what you want for <£200, and untill that option is expored properly it is a bad idea to buy one new.

a regular oven, we could probably get for free (or less than £100), and would also have a compartment for keeping warm (the grill bit). and also could be used for caseroles, cakes etc. etc etc.

there is nothing special about a baked potatoe oven particularyly is there?
