I like the way Jane separated things. An upstairs mural or upstairs wall colour change is a big deal and should be brought up to the Forest wg. If Forest arts wants to do some table tops they can hook up with foh, and if foh needs some art skills in the table top department they can hook up with fro...

Yeah, there could be a balance between the responsibilities of tidying/making things presentable on one hand, and the fun of putting your own touch on things, on the other. I agree that a major mural should be coordinated with the arts, while painting something new on a table, or putting up crazy ne...

I like ethics & morals as a laugh - but are we okay with presenting it to the world that way?

What about 'community issues?' Slightly less vague, or perhaps moreso?

I'm not particularly happy with 'community' either, but I really haven't come up with an alternative name that will be appropriate. I don't 'the non-politically aligned..' or 'ethics&morals' works.

architectural technician

There's a guy called Rui who has been hanging out a lot recently and wonders if he might be of any help to us. He's an architectural technician and is happy to lend a hand with and plans, etc. His email: ruijbarros at hotmail dot com. I told him to come along to the building meeting, but I suspect h...

I have no idea what kind of trees they are. At this point, I think it's a matter of delaying it until we know for sure why it's being done and whether that's a good reason (I suggest QM development is not a good reason, but who knows).

the extent of foh autonomy

Jane says: (for example, FOH wanted to repaint a room, is this impacting forest, does it depend which-room-where, or is it all their call and if you care about it you should be attending the FOH meetings)? I think this is important, and it will affect the foh mission. It's one thing to be able to bu...

I'm not suggesting the Forest does anything, BUT...for those who are interested: --- So, there are four trees already down and about ten more that might be getting cut down. A notice has been posted saying that no vehicles/etc will be let through from 9.30am tomorrow morning. That means: if we want ...

Did Sean come in and tell you about this? Jane, Dai, Sean and I were just talking about this on Friday night. I reckon it'd be a great fit for where the glasswasher currently lives? camera shop?

Just wondering if anyone has advice on a good camera shop in the city. I need a new lens cap and a piece to make my battery charger work over here, so maybe I don't need a good camera shop at all, but if anyone has advice on where to go, I'd be mucho appreciative.
