Can you get Festival working on the jukebox Mac? Then it could introduce tracks and read out messages. I had that when I ran an Icecast radio server - Radio Sisyphus - where the rock doesn't stop.

It was because of this that I got some USB extension cables. They were somewhere hidden in the bottom drawer of the big filing cabinet. It would only work if the boxes were boxed in, and the USB extension cables couldn't be removed. It is pretty depressing.

My old film club website
I managed to scrape my old film club website out of the Internet Archive. It's here at the moment. Even then I was into metaphores involving bodily functions. But what a programme! Most of it shown using 16mm projectors, on the second biggest screen in town.

I found this on my computer. Somewhere I might still have it in LaTex and some photos too (though the colours look a bit off). I was all set to produce something similar to what is proposed, and then Olivier was going to take it over and then nothing much happened. Sorry about the formatting. I thin...

I won't be in town tomorrow evening. But here's what I would say if I was there. There will be big demand for nachos (I hope) on the 9th (and maybe the 14th), so please don't run low on tortilla chips and the usual nacho ingredients. For Hard Rock Monday, I'll be down on Sunday 8th to do some prep. ...

I have one. It prints OK, but the paper feed is a bit flaky, so you need to feed sheets in one by one, or keep a hold of the extra sheets, so they don't get sucked in. The cartridge is a cheapo refill, but hasn't been used much. It would be nice if it came back still working. But I've had it for a f...

You need to use Icecast. A basic streaming server is easy to set up. It becomes cool when you have a web interface where people can modify the playlist, see what is currently playing and coming next, use text-to-speech for a robot shock jock, and have interaction with the world outside the cafe.
