Sorry I missed this. I liked the tunes you played on the meadows fest saturday this year, and Jade and the Jacks or whatever they are called were great too.

Re: August Audio I Spy: Overheard Conversations
I thought I overheard someone saying the forest was a really happening place these days, but they were actually saying "this festival is one farthing-gale short of a royal hat trick!" I've no idea what that means, it might have been some thing else, maybe something about the new Halle berry film or ...

Were you rude to the guy as well when you took his beer off him? Just wondered. People have been trying to take my beer off me for years, it never worked. You posted the request (http://theforest.org.uk/bb/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=8132&view=unread#unread) and 48 hours later replied to say never mind, you'd got a copy. Forest remains incredibly DIY and non-hierarchical. We want you to be involved in saving your space, even if you don't have much money. I almost choked on my porridge when I read that. Please tell me why myself, or any of the other good people whom you have excluded from the forest should care if i...

Apparently ceramic sealer will do this, so some very helpful people on a few other forums have advised me! By the way, not all of these stones are there for show. Preserving painted stones?
Hi, I recently became re-acquainted with a small art project of mine I undertook for a short while when I was about 12. I decided to take up stone painting for some reason, but like most things when I was that age it was a passing fad. They've pretty much been in storage since then in my parents lof...

The world's best porridge
The world's best porridge maker claims that his secret is in the local water, and his own personal spoon that he designed himself called the "spon". If you ask me, the way to make the best porridge in the world is simple. Just use rice milk. More foof miles though.

Does anyone have any welding equipment I could borrow?
Hi I wondered if anyone had any welding tools that I could borrow for a day, perhaps with a short ten minute crash course on how to use them? I have this candle set that I bought several years ago. It was part of a set of hand made candle holders crafted by a local artist, and they were all on sale....

There are a lot of bands doing this these days and making money. Reggae, bluegrass, jazz covers of famous songs. iTunes has a feature that allows people with iPhones and iPod touches to look at the list of tracks and request songs remotely, if the computer has wifi capabilities. I think this would be a nice feature, but it also has the potential to start fights probably.

I could use a nice king size duvet if there is one going spare. I keep buying them, good quality ones and then I move somewhere and leave it behind because I have no space to carry it and they end up getting lost. For every duvet I have lost this way I have an odd sock.

I found some for £2.39 in the evil Holland & Bastards, certainly an improvement anyway.
Had some this morning fried in olive oil so it goes a bit crispy, in toasted pitta bread with cucumber and mint sauce, it was finger licking good

Can't believe it's easier to get a hold of this stuff in Dumfries than it is here! I'd have thought there would be more veggie people in Edinburgh who know what's good for them.
