Charity Baw is a new Edinburgh based fund raising project aiming to raise awareness and money for a range of charities. This will be achieved by staging musical events - with a difference.
Charity Baw’s launch night will take place on the 21st November 09 in the Roxy Art House in conjunction with Oxjam, the musical division of Oxfam. The aim is to raise £3000, all of which will be donated to Oxfam.
Charity Baw will not only feature music but also a visual stage show that will be screened during the performances. This allows for an ideal opportunity for sponsors to promote their brand to a wide range of audiences.
We are delighted to be bringing The Real Tuesday Weld (www.tuesdayweld.com
) to Edinburgh. The band play their unique brand of ‘antique beat’ live in front of commissioned films by internationally acclaimed animators and filmmakers. They have previously graced the stages of venues including The Tate Modern and The National Film Theatre. This will be a very rare opportunity for a Scottish audience to hear songs from their recent album ‘The London Book of the Dead’ (album of the week in both The Sunday Times and The Independent).
Also confirmed are The Parsonage (www.myspace.com/parsonagechoir
), a choir group that have recently appeared on the main stage at T in the park and supported Rod Stewart.
With more special guests and acts to be confirmed and a film featuring high profle artists in production, Charity Baw is shaping up to be a night to remember.
The main aim of the initial event is to raise money and awareness for Oxjam, however, it is also to present a high quality event with a difference. We want to ensure that we can add value to the ticket and this will be achieved by ensuring attendees observe amazing bands and visuals in one of Edinburgh’s finest venues.
Charity Baw offers you the opportunity to support us in the delivery of this outstanding event. We are not looking for cash but instead product donations that will help us in the delivery of this outstanding event. What we require is food for 8 band members i.e. main meal and glass of wine on the night of the event.
The sponsor’s will have their logos on all printed promotional material, on all social network sites as well as on all event correspondence. The sponsor also gets to project their logo on the screens between band’s performances.
This is not only a good way to get your brand exposure but a great way to support Oxfam’s projects across the globe and be involved in the first event of new exciting project to raise cash and exposure for Local charities.
