The last time I was projecting from my computer, using the VGA cable that reaches to the sound desk, I was having difficulty getting all the colours to appear. It looked like one of the pins in the plug was bent, and I could only get full colour by holding the plug in a particular way.

Has anyone else had this problem? Could a new extension VGA cable be bought?

I had the same problem. I wonder if we have a spare VGA cable? I'll go through the action room stuff, can any of the sound team people do the same with the sound desk equipment?

It's the long cable to the projector that's broken, I think. Bent pins shouldn't be a problem if they're straightened out and fit the socket.

I remember having problems with it before, pre-extension cable. The problem appeared to be a slightly dodgy connection just past the plug. When I wired in the cable along the top and added the extension cable, I positioned the cable to fix the problem. If the connection at the top has moved, it may cause this problem again.

I can't remember what the genders or length should be, but we could try it tomorrow, Neil.

I'm going to check tomorrow with a cable the Neil donated. I do think the colour problem is with the cable that comes from the computer, rather than the one that goes into the projector. I'd rather not climb up the ladder, especially on a Saturday afternoon.
