Heaven Sent, Hell Bent & Unrepentant Mix
A sleekydeakydeaky offering right here, I was gonna trot out something about all New Weird American R&B,svelte basswork barely tethering treble heavy fleetfoot, lofty vocals..
but why not just lift lines from the immortal:
'Here it is, the groove slightly transformed
Just a bit of a break from the norm
Just a little somethin' to break the monotony
Of all that hardcore dance that has gotten to be
A little bit out of control, it's cool to dance
But what about the groove that soothes
That moves romance, give me a soft, subtle mix
And if ain't broke then don't try to fix it'
Here it is folks & only three months overdue
http://www.mixcloud.com/daijones77128/h ... ntant-mix/
01 Grumbling Fur - The Ballad Of Roy Batty
02 Zammuto - Need Some Sun
03 Flume - Paper Thin
04 Toro Y Moi - Harm In Change
05 Gonjasufi - She's Gone (Oneohtrix Point Never Remix)
06 Pinkumoizu - Down In Liverpool Street
07 Braids - In Kind
08 Doris - You Never Come Closer
09 Smakadaktal - Hung On Tight
10 Standish Carlyon - Non/Yoyo
11 A$AP Rocky - Thuggin Noise (It's Hemsworth,Bitch Edit)
12 Kid A - BB Bleu

Re: This week I've been mostly listening to...
Been sitting with this mix, tinkering and figuring for some time
I wanted to nail a mix covering music from Africa and the African Diaspora.
Duly nailed on playback, a full 45 minutes felt a little bit on top,
so I broke it up with a few tunes with African samples and instrumentation.
It's a better melt for it.
Stay jumping.
