Do you know Flash?

Post by Magda » Thu Feb 08, 2007 12:54 am

Hello,

I hope there is someone out there who can help me.

Ok: I would like to learn how to design a website in Flash. But, it seems that I'm too thick for the online tutorials I've found. I basically need someone to sit down with me for an hour and explain the basics of this program. In return I offer a batch of fresh, home made (vegan) brownies (other types of cakes/bisquits might also be possible).

if interested, please pm me.

PS. I'm not a complete newbie to web design, by the way. I've used Dreamweaver. I've also done some very simple Flash animation.

Maybe it could work? But it will be a kaleidoscopic blend of mysterious shadows and rainbow hued-dreams seen through compassionate tears.

9 times out of 10, Flash is used inappropriately, so maybe you can get away with something else. But if this is an exercise in using Flash, then you don't have a choice.

www.osflash.org is quite useful for finding Flash tools (other than Macromedia's crapware. I have used MTASC, swfmill and Ming, but these all take a programatical approach which might not be best for artistic people. Then again, any interesting animation/interaction will require scripting, so the bullet has to be bitten at some point.
