29 November – Glasgow, Violence and Nonviolent Power
The call to compassion and justice leads to a rejection of the cycle of violence, which diminishes and degrades. This requires us to develop the capacity to be nonviolent in our daily lives and relationships. This workshop will focus on the core essence of nonviolence, what it is, how it can arise to respond to violence, transform relationships and challenge systems of oppression and injustice.
Venue: Quaker Meeting House, Glasgow, 10am to 5pm. Wheelchair accessible. Fee: Suggested donation £10. Bring a packed lunch. Spaces limited, booking essential. To register phone 020 7663 1064 e-mail alison.scott8@googlemail.com or denised@quaker.org.uk
