The compost has now been de-activated until September or October. We don't want any problems with flies, as we had last summer.
The compost bin has been covered, and the lid MUST stay in place throughout the summer so it is not accessible to rats.
We will not get a fly problem as long as we don't add fresh stuff during the hot months.
