Does anyone know a simple equation for the conversion of these please, like there is with pounds to kilos

I have no idea and am just bamboozled by it when it is given in Fahranheit - like I can't relate to it at all. Did I even spell Fahranheit reit?

It's Farenheit and Celsius.
Farenheit to Celsius: C=(F-32) x 5/9
Celsius to Farenheit: F=(9/5 x C) + 32

Hey Amelia
My mum taught me that you start off with celcius, double it, then add 30 - simple!

That's what I want, thanks Lynne. Seems to work the other way round too, starting off with F, minus 30 then halve ! Brilliant. Yeah the minuses throw me...

That's essentially what I posted, except I posted a more accurate conversion equation rather than a text-based explanation.

Absolutely thanks, good to have both. One just sticks in your head and for greater accuracy I jotted the formula down.

aye, i can do the subtractions and additions but multiplying by five ninths or nine fifths?! come on man give us a break Feynman!
however I do reckon we should start working in Planck time and Planck lengths, truly universal - is there a Planck temperature?

if you use firefox, go to the search box in the top right of the window and[, with google selected,] type in "16c in f" (without quotes) and give it a second.
if i understand things correctly; where as
Planck time, length, etc, relate to the smallest possible amounts of shitiz we can know about things, Planck temperature] relates to the
highest theoretical temperature possible.
so
1 °C = 1.935x10^-30 Tp
and now we know.
