Call for Volunteers- Help Build the Hidden Door!!

Hidden Door is a unique mini festival run by artists, musicians, and poets and the like which takes place in the Roxy Art House across the weekend of the 22nd - 24th October.

We spend the week before it opens totally transforming the inside of this amazing and atmospheric venue, building structures and stages for the bands to play on, and creating unusual and exciting spaces for visual art installations, and then installing the work of over 60 exciting artists, including many of the top recent graduates from Scotland's art colleges.

We are looking for help from sunday 17th through to friday 22nd, to pull it all together. Some of this is building, screwdrivering and lugging stuff about. Other things like driving and sourcing the various things that need collected. Painting walls, assisting artists with their work and generally mucking in in a fun and hectic week of working together.

We also need a massive amount of help with the 'takedown' on monday 25th and early tuesday 26th.

If you would like to help, please sign up to our Rota,(http://doodle.com/participation.html?po ... 97vxd48wrz) ticking off when you will be able to help.
If you help for more than 8 hrs, (eg 2 4-hr sessions) then you will have earned a pass for the whole weekend. This will allow you to enjoy over 40 bands, all the films and artistic work, and of course, the hard-fought fruits of your labours!
Everyone with a free pass may well be asked to put in a stewarding shift during the weekend.

Check www.hiddendoor.org for details. of what's on.

and send a quick email to hiddendoorfestival@gmail.com so you can be put on the list of helpers
