We are looking for UK volunteers aged 18 - 30 to assist with arts,
language, and music workshops in Brcko with Svitac (Firefly Bosnia) from mid
June until the end of August 2011.
Travel and accommodation are funded for people based in the UK.

Volunteer with Svitac in Bosnia this summer!
Svitac (Firefly Bosnia) has 3 fully-funded placements available for UK
volunteers aged 18 - 30, helping run creative workshops for children from
all backgrounds in Brcko, Bosnia. We are looking for creative, inspired
people with a passion for the arts and social change.
Volunteers will plan, run, and assist with a 10-week series of creative
workshops for young people. The activities will culminate in performances
and displays during Svitac's 2011 Summer Festival, Summer Workshops, and
Children's Day in Brcko from 19-27 August.
Each Volunteer will assist with 4 workshops per week or run their own.
Creative workshops might include things like arts, drama, dance, music,
language , cultural exchange or other creative workshops and events.
Participants will be children, teenagers and young people aged 10 to 18 in
Brcko district, Bosnia.
Local young volunteers will be assisting with the summer's activities, and
volunteers will be ask to help them in developing their confidence and
project management skills as they work alongside them.
Volunteers will work 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day, with two days per
week free (which days depending on when they arrange to run workshops).
Usually these hours will be between 10am and 6.00pm, with occasional
evening activities like film nights or concerts. During their stay,
volunteers will live in a shared apartment.
