Photo Hanging in Mid-May

VA WG: these guys wanna hang photos in mid-mau. I said, provisionally, that the cafe space / gold room would have space but I needed to speak to you all regarding the gallery. Maybe you can sneak these nice people's in? it could be a good connection for us to have? Or not?

Hi Ryan,

Hope you're well. This is Jack, editor in chief at Stimulus. Yannis
forwarded your email regarding the proposed event at the cafe. I think
Yannis mentioned that the kind of thing we would like to do would
involve displaying some photography as well as organising some poetry
readings at intervals throughout. We could also distribute some
printed literature. I am thinking the best time to do this would be
mid-May?

I am wondering if you could answer a few questions for me so I can get
a clearer idea of what is involved. How much space is available for
photographs? How long can they be displayed for?

Regarding the poetry readings, I have a friend in Edinburgh who can
assist in finding people to actually do the reading so that should be
fine. I would however need to send two people up to Edinburgh to
oversee the whole thing, myself to organise the photography, and
Yannis for the poetry bits. Is there a possibility that we can get
train tickets paid for? I think really that would be our only expense
as I would get the photographers to organise suitable prints of their
material and we have a supply of fixings and printed literature.

Thank you very much for this opportunity, and I will look forward to
hearing from you in due course.

Kind regards
Jack

i think you'll find the photos on the website. if we confirm the train stuff soon it should be about £50. Events can probably pay that / corkage.

mid may? ok?

We haven't planned a date for the photo-wall moving elsewhere yet .... I'd like to leave it there as long as possible but realise I can't monopolise the space. Lets discuss this at some meeting soon ...

ps. I went past today and saw someone has added the first photo! :-D

We can definitely hide it but who do you mean by we? I stupidly forgot to take a note of the date and now its crept up on me and I'm at work and don't have spare time - Aggh! I might have spare time wed evening - if I don't apologise to them on my behalf and say if they take it down carefully and get someone to store it in the office I'd be very grateful to them ......
