We have received a message from Jack Webb. He wants to do a dance piece, possibly in the gallery. Is that possible?

Quote:
Hello!

My name is Jack Webb, and I am a Contemporary Dance Artist based in Dundee.
I'm writing with regards to possibly coming to perform a dance theatre piece in The Forest.
I have been to the Forest a few times and I think the work, atmosphere and the space itself is something quite unique and has attraced me to come perform.

If I may, I would like to let you know more about me, my work and of course the piece that I would love to bring to the Forest and perform there.

I trained as a dancer and dance maker at the Scottish School Of Contemporary Dance. Since graduating I have worked with many companies and choreographers including Smallpetitklein Dance Company (London), Moxie Brawl Dance Company ( Dundee), Herman Diephuis (Paris), Mon SUng-Lyun(South Korea), Angus Balbernie(Bristol) and Ian SPink(Aberdeen).
Aswell as dancing and performing in other peoples work, I have also been exploring my own way of working and performing and have created several pieces on myself and dance company (LittleWhiteHouse)

THE COLOUR OF MEMORY

The Colour Of Memory is the latest piece that I have created and have so far performed it in Glasgow, Dundee and Edinburgh. As I said I would very much like to come to Edinburgh and perform in the Forest. There is a beautiful space, a gallery space at the front window that I would love to work with.
Anyway here is a synopsis of the colour of memory.

Inspired the books 'Mrs Dalloway' by Virginia Woolf and 'the Hours' by Micheal Cunningham and incorporating aspects of a personal relationship, the colour of memory is a solo exploration of memories, nostalgia, loss, suicide and intertwines the thoughts and experiences of one man in the space of one day. Set in a dark landscape flowers grow and a television speaks......speaks of memory, the colour of memory.

You can look at the Myspace picture gallery to see some photographs of the piece in performance and promotional photographs also.

Thank you, I hope to hear from you soon!

JAck :)

Not yet.
I was hoping the art dudes would either say yay or nay.

Art dudes...yay or nay?
When's the earliest this guy could do this in the gallery?
Ever or never?

You know...a calendar of upcoming exhibitions would be very useful.
Just a list on the bb would do it.

Okay...
I've written to him saying we're interested and he's still interested.
I mentioned that he could also perform in August so perhaps he could do that too....here's the latest message from Jack.
The next stage would be to write to the man himself....
Bill perhaps?

Hello there!

I'm just writing to let you know that I am interested in both the gallery like I asked about and also in using the forest as a fringe venue in August.

Can you pass my address on to the appropriate people. It's littlewhitehousedance [@] hotmail.co.uk

Thank you! :)

Jack
