updated with details for tk41 and tk42

we need to think about what to do with the slots after that so we don't schedule a takedown on christmas day or something

Hi

I've updated the details with what i recall from the meeting last night, i think i got it right.

The only problem is that we completely forgot to book in the ice cream guy, who we have had on the back burner for ages trying to find a suitable slot for. Sorry, this slipped my mind in the haze of the other 28 submissions we managed to get through, go us.

Before we confirm the slots we agreed last night, can we decide whether or not we want to shift the slots to accomodate him or offer the ice cream guy the christmas slot, when we figure out what that will be?

Stephen.

I've just spoken to Mike on the phone and he hasn't contacted the other 2 yet so we can hang fire on those for now.

Simone, if you don't mind contacting Ice Cream, you could give him the choice of TK41 or TK42 and when we know which of those if any he prefers we can program the others in accordingly (i think charles anderson is edinburgh based so he would be a good shout for the christmas slot as he may be in town.)

so the map project will either end on the 7th or the 11th
it could be useful to have the weekend 10 and 11 as a freshner upner for the gallery before the festival the map project can then finish any time between the 7th and the 9th
if we decide to have an action weekend then we need to book this so we know for definate when the map week ends
what do people think?

sounds good

or would it be better to move the 10 year exhibition a couple of days earlier and have 2 days directly before the festival show installs? i.e. move beginning of 10 year to 10/11th but finish 2 days early freeing up 24th/25th for making the gallery spic and span.

Charles Anderson says that he would like to have an opening and a closing party - he explains his reasons for doing so below - are we ok with this? Personally I don't see any problem with it.

Just following up from our phone conversation would it be alright if I had an opening for my show on November 29th? As the end will be so close to christmas I know a lot of people that will be away and wouldn't be able to make it. I'd happily fund the opening so that a closing party would be possible also to keep in forest tradtition, as I'd love to talk to anyone about my work/show who might have questions at the end.

fine with the opening/closing as well.

here the short minutes from september meeting:
present: stephen, mirja, simone, sade

simone is involved with the gallery until january. stephen is involved until feb-march (...yes?)
mirja is involved until beginning of september.
we can schedule our program at least until then.
we need to reach out to new people.
we need to stay open to the thinking about how the gallery works so it stays exciting for us/new people...
to do projects, invite other groups to put up shows...
we can think whether we want to do annuale or festival this year as its not necessary.
Stephen suggested we schedule 2 shows, malcy duff and magda. we all agreed. malcy duff maybe in june (annuale), august(eaf) or in the spring, whichever he prefers. Stephen the contact person. and, magda also sometime in the spring, if she wants.
next meeting, we do some scheduling, and talk somore about where to go from now.
as our building is for sale, we do have some thinking to do...
