open submission festival (TK09)

Post by mirja » Mon Mar 02, 2009 9:59 am

Heres the only text i found by trawling the old threads, amended it:
....

Artists! do you want to display your work or hold an event in a central gallery location during the edinburgh festival?

TK is currently looking for submissions to consider for short exhibitions during August. We will this year hold 4 one-week shows and one evening event that can accommodate time-based work (sound, performance, interactive etc.) If your exhibition can be put up in a day and taken down in a day and is exciting and interesting, or if you want your work to be considered for the evening event, then please send your submissions to our email address...

DEADLINE for submissions is Tuesday 28th April.

....

...deadline, just in case everybody is like me and sends stuff 3 hours after the deadline.
also bunched up both one-weeks and evening event
i'm also tempted to add 'recently renovated gallery space' considering that by then we will have the floor done most likely, and it might make people to come and see/reconsider the space - with the construction gone outside and the spiffed-up interior it just looks so different now.

looks good mirja
think the 'evening event' needs clarifying as it sounds like a one night show .
maybe 'one week shows, with each throwing a closing party for viewers to meet the artist'
I saw two shooting stars last night, i wished on them, but they were only satellites.
is it wrong to wish on space hardware?

I think the eca prize show is great idea, brings in the school a little, and invitations - we will have some time with that still i think...
Im having some inquiries to the suitcase series - india, thailand, u.s. - but not full applications yet. we will see.
