PROMOTION materials

Post by mirja » Thu Jan 28, 2010 9:41 pm

Hi, here are the promotion materials we went through in the meeting.

First is a run-through or what we do now with some tweaks and also a description of the new EVS involvement.
It includes a memo-what-to-do for 3 people:
-artist contact person
-poster maker, and
-EVS that is associated with the gallery. Untill mid-April this is Ilaria.

The other documents are mentioned in the text and can be used anywhere if needed.

We also have massive list of press contacts, artist opportunities boards/listings and postervenues/map that ilaria is working on, will be posted here once they are finished.

Hi

I've made this topic sticky and for clarity i've un-stickied the info for artists and TK logos thread- so that we have one thread that contains all the info.

I've also attached the floorplan and the logos.

This is the current info for artists- but i think we need a new one now.

Info For Artists

The Space
-The gallery space is yours for the duration of the exhibition, do what you want with it (within reason).

-The Forest is open 10.30am to 12 midnight each day.

-Please introduce yourself to the kitchen manager they can help with immediate queries but please bear in mind they are busy managing the place, making the money that funds TotalKunst.

-You will be entitled to a free meal for each full day spent working in the gallery.

-There are tools and materials available for your use in the gallery cupboards, please take what you need and leave what you can. Please check to see what tools and materials are available if you have any specialist requirements.

-Invigilating the space is your responsibility and all work is displayed in the gallery at the owners' own risk.

-Please leave the gallery as you find it - all holes filled and all walls repainted, where necessary. The window seat should be painted with white gloss and the walls with water-based white matte emulsion. If paint is running low, LET US KNOW!

-We prefer to hold closing parties rather than opening parties, please let us know when you plan to hold this and we will promote it for you.

Budget
-The budget for your exhibition is £50 for expenses relating directly to the show, please keep your receipts and redeem them with a member of the Visual Arts Working Group via the Totak Kunst email or the point of contact you have been in communication with.

Promotion
-Please send us an image and a paragraph of text about your exhibition at least a month in advance of your show, We will post these to the forest website and send out a press release to our mailing list.

-We will not provide flyers but should you want to produce them through the expenditure of the exhibition budget, we have cheap printing facilities available for your use.

-Please send us some sort of photographic documentation of you exhibition! We like to have this information for our online archives.
