After august it is time again for the letter writing club to run every sunday!
3-6 in the front room.
We are looking for people who would be interested to run it maybe once a month or more often to
create a rota.
What is the letter writing club:
Letter writing is time-traveling, map-defying, memory-buidling, love-edifying, hand-locking, laughter-carrying, tear-inducing, thought-printing, word-materializing, people-unifying. For all these reasons, we heart letters. Letters are acts of resistance: they boggle borders and wriggle free of internet servers. They can be caressed, smelled, crumpled, licked, hidden under a pilllow, folded, dog-eared and cherished. They can hibernate in drawers, perch on top of cupboards, nestle in warm trouser pockets, rustle in forgotten attics and flutter above the heads of distant lovers and friends. Come help us hatch more paper-birds or scrutinize the scribbles of history each Sunday at Forest Cafe (3pm til 6pm)...
We provide paper, typewriters, envelopes, postcards, pencils and pens
all you need to do is show up maybe get a cup of tea and start writing!
