Do we want the NLS to hold a copy of Forest publications? The only thing is, they are not going to buy them, as they are entitled to a free copy to anything published in the UK, because they're a copyright Library.
We could always offer the free stuff, but that might attract attention to the not-free publications...

Yes they do actually!
Do we have any back copies of CIA nights and Carlos's programme lying about that we could donate to the Library?

Just got in touch with the Legal Deposit Team.

Just by coincidence they had just been writing a claim for CIA nights and also Toastycats (they haven't sent it). I'll send them what I've got so far and try and find a few more..

Do we have a mailing list, so new issues of CIA nights and Carlos's programme are sent to NLS?

I have a box and a poster ready, so now it is up to all you publishers to get your work into the box and into the library. Somewhere in the bowels of the NLS is a librarian waiting to be deluged by issues from the Forest organs. So make their day and pop your's in the box.

Is there a way of knowing what number the LOGOS are? Pomme says that without a number/date, the library won't be able to catalogue them. If you don't want to put a number/date on them, you can add a covering letter.

The covering letter should mention the publisher, at least for the first numbers (once it's in the system, no need for publisher's name).
Without any mention of the publisher and place of publication anywhere, they might end up at best in a limbo called "miscellaneous publications" ie impossible to find later on... (at worst they'll gather dust for 30 years on a shelf as noone will want to deal with them... before "falling" in a paper bin)

It's mostly the publisher and place of publication, numbers (or at least a date of publication) , if they don't appear on the part, stuff like that... If you know how often it's going to be published, or if you know it's going to be irregular, might be worth mentioning it...
Keep in mind they've got hundreds of stuff to enter into the database every day... if they need to spend a long time looking at the part to try and find some info, chances are it's never going to reach the shelves
