Tips

Post by Keni » Sat Feb 12, 2011 9:04 pm

I saw something today during my shift in the cafe that surprised & disappointed me. A fellow volunteer came in and ordered a coffee. Then they started raking through the tips plate for change before paying. They hadn't done a shift nor were they due to work today, as far as I could tell.

Now, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt & they were going to put the money back in when they had more cash on them. Even if that is the case, was it the right thing to do? I debated about posting this but it kept gnawing away at me.

What do others think?
Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes. (Oscar Wilde)

Cut the crap & make it happen.

this is not right.
I reckon you could either speak to them yourself, or ask the KM/NM to speak to that person.
We also don't do credit. you can suggest that people borrow money from their friends, not from the FOrest.
