BB Avatars

Can I suggest that we disable remote avatars, i.e. using a link instead of having to upload. Seems to function as a workaround to the size limits, e.g. iamjohnmarra

Will do this if no objections. John's (and maybe Ryan's too) I can grab the images and resize them, and copy over.

Really big images spoils the page layout.
I love the bomb.

I'm all in favour of stopping big avatars, but mine has to be hosted externally, for example, because of the file size, rather than the dimensions. If you remove the option for external ones, can you increase the file size limit while keeping the dimensions constrained?

As I plan to unleash AVATARMAGEDDON soon, 20k would be nice. I think it is 10 at the moment. These things get cached, so the extra file size doesn't really strain the web server much at all.

That seems reasonable, easily done.

What is you two are up to upgrade wise ? I'm trying to keep up a bit more these days.

Neil has found a nice BB mod which should stop the spambots from registering on the site. It is almost working, and hopefully we'll have it done by this evening. I'll be in at 6 to help Neil.
