A tidier bb

Is there a way to change the bb settings so that posts can be edited and deleted? I think a tidier bb would encourage people to use it more.

I'm not sure we should edit and delete posts. Tidy the bb by splitting it into a good selection of forums, and have moderators move posts into the right place when they're posted in the wrong place (if the moderators should have some spare time that they wish to spend tidying the bb). But editing and deleting sounds risky.

I don't think things should be deleted. It lets people see why, when etc. things got discussed and how decisions got made. If you have a query about something you can do searches and see whether it has been discussed before. Deleting discussions somewhat defeats the point of having a discussion board doesn't it? Juts my thoughts. If you were to delete things for tidying purposes it should be minimal and be things like discussions on planning events that happenened 2 years ago or something.
those are me thoughts.
