I've put this on as a sticky as it's a big issue we're maybe not so proactive with. So let's get active!

Please post any suggestions as how to encourage new volunteers to come into the Forest?

I'm thinking encouraging volunteering through community arts missions is the funnest way. I put some ideas in the "Posters" section. It'd be nice to Let the branches of the Forest grow out there into town, into other foresty organisations, shops etc. But the places that most need a bit of the Forest Magic are the unforesty places. We want awesome pictures, posters, poems, open hearts start pumping music into the most ridiculously sensible places like the Edinburgh volunteer exchange, the libraries, the Job Centre. In painful places like homeless shelters and jails we want lightness, love and laughter, peace, love, unity and other assorted new age-isms, old age isms and Chisms jism. We want a world in harmony where coloured or "black" kids have the same rights as normal people. One World where we can all join hands singing together like in the Michael Jackson videos. We know that it all starts with learning to love yourself completely, sweetly, softly and discretely we all put our hands together for One Wanker of a world where we're all equal and Play Fair, May Fair, Fair Play, Fair Trade, Highest Grade, Ethical Everything Singing the praises of wage raises for everyone under the Sun with or without a bum, united as one-world, one people, one planet, we can't have it, Destroyed by Delusion - Ignorance, fear and confusion oozing as we spread our seed of Self Love. We break down the walls with Brass Balls in pink overalls. We want our own brand of spam in Oxfam. In Oxfam's Oxjam we want our own herd of Buffalo Bill Berry. "The Very".
