So, I phoned the company supplying this and they passed me on to the delivery people (0131 335 8800). Apparently they've 'tried' to deliver this twice and left a card, both times around 3:30pm. I said we're a cafe and therefore always open with a KM during that time, and there's so way they would have tired to deliver and there was no-one here.
So, they're dodgy and I'm going to write a letter of complaint. I asked for delivery today, tomorrow is the best they can do. I tried to tell them we're loosing money over this, we're a charity and that, but no avail.
I hate them.

Bohnenflaschen!
This is now fitted and working. The old one is hanging in the front window, warding off evil spirits. The delivery note is in the office if needed for accounting.
For future reference, when working on the grill you should wear rubber gloves. The insulation inside is fibreglassy stuff that will make your skin itch.
To replace the element you need a Torx T-15 screwdriver head to get the back panel open. There is one in the workshop. Once you're in, you can get the top off, remove the insulation below that and use a Phillips screwdriver to get the remaining panel off and access the element. Pliers and/or spanners will unbolt the element from the back panel, and get the new one on. The wires attached to the old one need to be disconnected from behind the control knob, and the new one wired in in the same way. Remember which points the ends were attached to as there are some unused ones. It doesn't matter which end of the element goes to which, so long as you use the right two.
