Milky Milk
Milky Milk
The Super Ethical Milkman came today. He bounced along to Super Girl Romantic Boy before entering discussions. I adore him already.
Do we want milk deliveries Mon, Wed, Fri? How much? Apparently semi-skimmed should give us good froth. Or another type. I can't remember. Basically, shall we try get all our milk from this dude? How much how often?
Or have a Vegan Cafe?

I called the Milk Man yesterday. Ryan made a good point that this moment is not the time to be changing things like this, so I left a message saying we're not going to take his stuff quite yet but will call at the beginning of next month when we know better what we're doing.
It will not be forgotten about, because he is great and so is his milk.

Because this stuff is non-homogenised, it is particularly bad for frothing. Thus, if we want to be able to make a cappuccino we need the semi-skimmed.I think our policy towards semi-skimmed should be similar to that of decaf. We can offer them soy if they're scared of 3 or 4 percent fat.I'm pretty certain fat difference is minimal, while full fat tastes better. Whether it's less good for coffee and frothing, I have no idea.
I don't understand why we aren't in the position to change this stuff right now? It isn't really much of a bother, is it?
i was just saying to alex that maybe this is not the best time to change because it is such a weird time of year... l ike it's going to be very slow for the next month and then it is going to be totally mental for all of august and it's not really a fair and acurate representation of the bussiness and so maybe it is easier to just start in sept and then we have a whole year to iron out any kinks in the system.
i'm not a fan with the milk comming in t he evening and is he as flexible in terms of some days not leaving as many? I don't really care too much as long as we have milk every day but also, in august, there will be a lot of empty glass jars hanging around.... and again, it doesn't seem practical.
switching in sept. just made more sense to me. maybe not though...
