Is there anything we can do to take part in
this?
Quite often we aren't open at that time, but we could open with the lights off and not make any hot food or drink. Anyone have a good idea?

just switch off all power at the mains...easy
Maybe it could work? But it will be a kaleidoscopic blend of mysterious shadows and rainbow hued-dreams seen through compassionate tears.

True, the how is easy. But making it a significant event without simply highlighting our dependence on electricity is harder.

This is a great idea. You could do it for more than an hour even. It reminds me of that advert on the telly about the the New York Powercut and how it was a time when people really came together. Can't remember what the ad was for now.

Orange. Good things can happen when your phone is off.
