meeting with mike bowdidge

met with mike bowdidge yesterday with regards to his proposed installation in the gallery space and maybe also in other parts of the building.

Mike would prefer to work in the space over a few days, maybe a long weekend to create an assemblage using mainly materials form outside the forest but maybe some spare pieces of furniture from the building aswell.

Mike has had previous experience making works like this in similar social and physical environments. i have added him to the board so hopefully this will get the ball rolling for a discussion on what he could do.

Mike's schedule is slightly uncertain for now so hasn't been booked in for a date- he will have a better idea of his movements in August.

personally i think an assemblage like that would look great in the gallery space and would draw people in. also it has the added dimension of the artist being present in the gallery and the piece evolving over time.
