The Forest Record is now in the office. Three boxes in the second room, complete with groovy grooves.

Well done guys!

sick! so did we beat the forest publishing? excellent! cant wait to hear it. how long til covers/labels are printed?
need to put it in the listening room asap - so people can buy it online too. i got mp3s for the bside but not the first bside...just need moonmontain (forest mix) and k+d's track and a jpeg (think thats on bb here somewhere) of the cover to get that on track...
big up, D

Nick is bringing in Magda's artwork tomorrow,
so the covers could be printed out then.
I think it was Dan's idea to have a stamp made for the record centre,
I'll have to wait to see if Magda has got this covered too.
Christ knows where the mp3 files are,
there's been a lot of jiggering on these computers just late
but I'll have a search.

I say it's not over until someone has a finished product. These records are not finished yet! Round two.

Alex signed for them but the invoice got mislaid,
so Neil couldn't sort it,

NEIL?

I've been away and offline.
From the other thread I gather there's mai in Neil's pigeonhole,
I'm hoping that the invoice is part of this.
If not, I will give them a ring and arrange for them to send one out.

Any moves on the payment of this? They gave us a deadline of today... Please do it!!! Also I had a vision the other night... We could hand do the centre labels, all it would take is 50 people to do 10 each, with the track listings etc. Remember the TotalKunst book folding party? It coud be something like that, but with more music and nibbles etc...

If somebody knows the payment details and can send them to me I'll get it paid asap. Otherwise I'll be in later today to pick up the invoice.

That's gonna be fun!

This is could prove a little problematic,
the records come in plain white covers but the middle is missing,
so essentially they are just an inner sleeve.
Magda's artwork wouldn't fit onto this,
so we will need to make full covers.
Dunno, maybe it's an external print job.

where ARE they? I want to hear. We should all meet, no? We need to talk covers, launches, lunches and champagne. And helicopters.

hmm shame about sound quality. But i guess it'll give it the Forest sound we all desire. which is the bummed out track?
As for covers, do we have plastic sleeves? I was thinking Magda's art put around the record and the whole package delivered in a neat little ensemble, surrounded by a plastic sleeve. If we don't have them I guess we could order them? Or does anyone else have any ideas?
What about the centre label? Stamping or hand crafting? Or something else?
Should we put an insert in giving info about Forest and music there and stuff?
I'm really sorry I'm not around to help, I feel crappy about it. I'm feeling a bit frustrated to be honest, too much time and not enough white noise. And Yaz is sick so I'm hanging out with her grandmother. Which is fun when she dances though.
It would be great to get at least some of these records out for Festival right? And then do big launch party with all bands featured (well as many as we can get).
No justice no peace

No-one's bought anything just yet,
if you can pick up 500 covers in London,
go ahead and do so,
but don't forget we are working with 10" records.
