Definitely no painty over without an accepted submission.
yep, definitely, i'm with you on that.
Ask the Cardboard Cathedral peoples for a submission!
i think alice is going to do this.
It seems to me that there is a desire for getting work into the cafe itself and this is certainty an option . unfortunately at the moment a lot of our proposals are for the white space .Which to me is disappointing as they are many more opportunity to exhibite at the forest .
I know i mentioned putting work elsewhere in the cafe because it would allow us to seperate more white space identified work from work that might be more suited to a cafe wall atmosphere, but i hadn't intended to use the cafe space which is currently muralated just as another gallery wall.
personally i don't think that space in the cafe is that suited to showing alot of the work we get in the proposals. It is quite high, and hanging avarage size paintings or photos etc. would make them look a bit lost.
I was more thinking along the lines of approaching artists to consider the space, more site specific i guess, making big things, or lots of little things, a bit more installation style but still 2d.the key being that the work there is more temporary and easier to change, though we wouldn't want to change it to often, maybe every six months or something.
I think a revamp of the submission page may help things
yeah that could help, we could make it clear that the space is up for grabs...
