The first thing that springs to mind is how and when we pay the rent and the issues about security as i hear that the studios have been broken into via the bashing in the doors tactic.
My only idea about how to resolve the problems up stairs without the use of cameras ,is to built another door at the bottom and seal in stairs . not sure if this is possible.

If the spaces up stairs are being used, this will deter some of the fuckers who do inappropriate things up there. But if there are personal belongings and equipment there, then this will also attract more of the fuckers, and we have a duty to provide a secure place for these artists.
Unless we are going to have the building for a while, encasing the stairs and adding an extra door (which may go against some regulation or another), might be impractical. But can the doors be modified to make them more secure and less prone to being bashed in? If the balconies are going to be used much, then we might have to modify the doors to comply with something anyway.

we can do monies via me. but - practically, it would be best to set up a direct debit system, wouldn't it? that would be very easy for all.

from the TK email:
"Hi,
I am enquiring about hiring a studio space for painting. Could you
please let me know if you have a studio that is available to rent right
now, or when a stdio might be available, or how long i'd be on your
waiting list for? Could you also tell me how much it costs per month to rent
and whether this includes electricity or not.
Thank you,
Katherine
is there any spare spaces? does anyone want to contact her if so? I will Pm the email address.
