We could really use speakers that are raised off the ground for a decent sound. Lyrics that were written to be heard are being wasted if no-one can make them out over the sound of the band.

don't think it'll really make much of a difference in a small room

danny is right, raising the high end speakers by about 1 metre or more would make a massive difference.
other things to improve the sound:
drape the ceiling. (this improve the sound in the room)
drape the walls bordering and behind the stage (this reduces feedback)
Maybe it could work? But it will be a kaleidoscopic blend of mysterious shadows and rainbow hued-dreams seen through compassionate tears.

What sort of stuff do we need to drape with? Thick fabric to absorb vibration?

Remember that the wall behind the stage is the film screen too.

Yeah, it would need to be done as a curtain.

myself and Shane tryed to raise the speakers on poles.
did not work. super wobble.
Me is thinking sturdy boxes made out of MDF.
will this work or will it cause funny reverberations?
we should try it.
who will build it?
