Photography group outings!

Post by Martin » Thu Mar 06, 2008 9:34 am

One of the main ideas for the photography group was to not just meet up and talk, but go out and take pictures together. This is always interesting as you get to compare afterwards how different people handled the same subjects. Plus, it's fun and sociable and encourages everyone to get out of the house and shoot.

So let's have a thread for suggestions of where and when to go, that might be visually interesting - either just places, or events.

I'll kick off by suggesting a trip to the botanic garden.

We could also get together for the annual attempt to get any decent pictures out of the fast moving red blur in the dark that is Beltane...

if we are going to do beltane we should get someone to find out how we do it officially ...

how about a abandoned building trip? I've heard of some around, I could scout for places

Abandoned buildings sound good. As long as they're not haunted.

we should go out and take photos of surveilance camera as a group, each person taking it in turn to photograph the group.
then send them all in to the cops.
It's like God's vagina!

In case anyone is interested, some Edinburgh Flickr people meet up, which is open to all:

The next one is in Linlithgow on Sunday afternoon.
