Pop Quiz Kids:
Stacy from a nameless beer company wants to sponsor an event at the Forest sometime next month. She wants to donate many cases of bottled lager and give them to our punters for FREE. She says they will pay corkage for all the bottles and will advertise the event.
What do we do? What do we do?
I have her email.

What's the deal with them sponsoring it? Does she want to poster and tag things and write their name on it or just give out product?
What do you mean by nameless beer? Are you not naming it, or is she not, or is it independent?
Is it for a specific event or just a general offer?
I am so all about the free booze, obviously, but kind of against the sponsor notion I guess. But how about if we made it a volunteer party type night, if there is free pre-paid booze we could close the kitchen, get some bands on and dance motherffff dance. This would be nice to all of us. I love giving free drinks to people. I love drinking them too. It's so nice.

there were no more details. the beer company wouldn't say who they were. they were not froach.
now, in my opinion, and based on past discussion the correct answer to the quiz is: NO.
However, i brought it up as because i wanted to make sure that we were all on the same page. obviously, it is a long standing rule that some of us have had a chance to decide upon. however, with new people coming in, i thought maybe it would be a good time to talk about any long standing policies and to remind ourselves that nothing is written in stone.

well how secretive. I had this beautiful vision of some beer company who were launching, who liked us and wanted to become cool by getting us free drinks. Probably not the case. Do you think cash and carry champagne would ever want to give us sponsorship? Oh the dream.

no. it was real. they wouldn't tell me much but i thought it was a good idea to reasses what we think about these things.
