12 hours of comedy in august ....

The Oxford Imps, who did a couple of shows last year, want to do a 12 hour marathon of improvised comedy. Could be very surreal towards the end ..... The Hall is already booked, but how do people feel about having them in the cafe 11am to 11pm one day?

Is this the Improverts? I seen one of their shows last year, it made me laugh out loud quite a few times. It's an interesting show. I think it will be very tough for them, it'll certainly be interesting.

Not the improverts.
They did two kinds of shows last year.
One was the usual short form improvised stuff. Short games, taking suggestions from the audience. Like the improverts at bedlam do. This was good. Seeing Love pretend to be a plumber in the desert was hilarious.
The other was more long form experimental stuff. This was more hit and miss. for the hall, I didn't think that was a problem (the forest being about giving people the chance to try things) but maybe for the cafe we should say more of the former please?
I have pointed the guy towards this thead to answer everyone's questions btw. (I'm away till Monday from now)

Personally, I don't think we want 12 hours of it in the cafe. A shorter stint would be okay. Do they know how loud and busy it will be?

i agree, maybe they could 12 hours in the street?

the lime tree thing was annoying as it was being in there everyday last year.. 12 hours will do any volunteers heads in.
