I'd be wary of this.

1. Windows only. Not even Mac support, let alone Linux.

2. It's not actually a scanner. Inside it's a cheap digital camera with a cheap lens, aimed at the slide/negative with a light behind it. You can achieve the same thing for a lot less by screwing a good old fashioned slide copier to the front of your own digital camera. Search eBay for "slide duplicator" or "slide copier" - you can find them for a few quid.

It's probably better than my ancient 8-bit SCSI Minolta Scan Dual, but don't expect results comparable to any more recent serious film scanner from Minolta, Nikon etc, or any real control over the output image.

oh right. i wasn't gonna buy it but thought it was a good idea.
