Gallery:

Problems with jugglers and workshops using the space and people damaging the art- Difficult to police and/or change the feeling of the space- having more footfall is a boon and a curse- we should make it more explicit to artists the unique qualities of the space. Difficult to effect change of the space... difficult to think of ideas to improve, discourage intrusive use of gallery.

AP- Emi to talk to spanish workshop.

Put locks on Gallery cupboards?- locks with keys are well out but maybe combination locks would be good- some storage space artists can use- but, artists leave stuff indefinitely.

Festival:

Martin met with EAF in regards to the sunmissions schedule for this year-

deadlines-

2nd Dec: submissions form sent out
2nd March: Proposal submission

dates of EAF: 30/06/2009- 06/09/2009

should start thinking of themes, ideas and formats for this. Perhaps have a full meeting for it in future. Also Annualle to consider.

ECA: TK at ECA volunteer fair- good oppertunity to get in touch with ECA students.- 4th Nov

I saw Jack Webb 3 or 4 days ago (can't remember exactly) and he said he hadn't heard back from anyone and it had been a week or something and what was happening? can there be a policy of just sending a "thanks for your submission, we'll let you know" email so ppl know whats happening?

ps. And on a personal note, he did a show for us at fringe 2007 and it was brilliant. He vollied with the theater lots to. Good guy.

yes there does seems to be a problem of not replying to emails , when they arrive. can we please have a reply when they arrive .

yes an auto reply would be good, i am happy to do the email still but i tend to do a block check, sort, replies as don't have time to check more regularly
i have no idea how to do auto replies, that is definately beyond my i.t capabilities

looks liek you can set up a holiday response for a set time but it looks like it would be more trouble than its worth.

when people have contacted their artists in the e mail folder 'submissions for consideration' could you please move them into 'correspondance' or delete them so folder all shiny and clean for next submissions

i suspect the more people with acces to email will create more problems . it may be better to forward the emails to their respective agents . i understand this more work for the email person/s . it could be that whoever does the email job . only does this job , rather than dealing wiht the shows too.

other thing that springs to mind thinking about this . we booked a lot of shows last time . wiht some people taking on a lot . it may they shold be a limit to what we do in relation to how many people we have .

we also have start getting the info on the shows on bb . so we can get this on the web page and mailing list . also important is getting when the closing partys info .

good idea about forwarding e mails, most people seem to check the tk account but i shall forward them on.

i would hate to only e mail and not do meeting artists as that is fun bit!! however i would be up for someone taking over e mail sometime soon , she smiles

the meeting in december falls on xmas day so shall we bring it forward to the week before (18th), we need to book action room in the new action room book if anyone remembers next time they are in cafe.

date for next action day: sunday november 30th st andrew's day, good excuse for pub trip after! can people make this date?

of course you can . just make them up . alot of the jobs are to do with IT . but if anyone sees a role that needs done then do it .
