Inactive users

Post by swithun » Tue Feb 03, 2009 2:23 pm

We've been getting a bit of BB spam recently. I went looking for dodgy user names, and found that the BB admin pages can list all the inactive users. We have hundreds. These are people who have registered and never logged in.

I'd say delete these if they are over a week old, or if they are clearly spam. Does that sound OK?

sounds fair enough. are these fairly new users or older?
hey, if you don't like it, post on the BB (so you can ask about participating for better) | MilkMiruku

They all date from 2007 in fact. We do have some new spammers, but the 100s on the membership list predate our current anti-spam measures, which is good.

Sadly, the BB control panel doesn't have a "from orbit" tickybox for deleting users. Perhaps we should file this as a bug.
