Hi all,
I met with Donald Burgess of South Central Neighbourhood Partnership today. The main thrust of the meeting was for him to emphasise that they have excess funds they need to spend every year and are looking for projects to invest in. The key criteria is that the project takes place in South Central Edinburgh, basically from Cameron Toll up to Royal Mile and from Dumbiedykes to TollCross. I mentioned the cave as an example and he thought this could qualify for funding.
They have other key aims, at least one of which must apply to the project:
Improved Quality of life for residents of Dumbiedykes
IMproved range and quality of services for young people
Imporved satisfaction with neighbourhood and green spaces
Tollcross
Parking
Improved Family well-being
Improved health and well-being of older people
So the one's which may apply are:
Improved range and quality of services for young people
Improved Family well-being
Imporved satisfaction with neighbourhood and green spaces
The grants are only up to £5000 but it seems quite easy to apply for and simple evaluation after. You can see all relevant forms here:
