i did fire off an email to his management
but the 'Stones stole the thunder.
on a related and not un17line note
tonight saw the inaugural entrance of the electric mouth orchestra
one song
one encore
and out
chris seemed sweeted.

THE ONE PLACE in the San Francisco area

Post by pogo » Sun Feb 01, 2009 7:25 pm

not foresty in as an organization but is THE ONE PLACE in the San Francisco area that has character, comfy couches, a smoking room, great beer, fantastic coffee, pipe tobacco, cigars, games to play, outdoor areas, is built out of an old house and still looks like it, has poets, scientists from Berkley, musicians and people who read and like to hang out and chat about the best non-sense and more.

it is elegantly named in a forest fashion - one word ---> PUB

Edinburgh - meet Glasgow.

We should become friends with these people and all hang out, right? Maybe we already do and I'm just out of the loop...

Who: Christiania

Where: Copenhagen, Denmark

What: An independent part of DK's capital Copenhagen,
From Wikipedia:
Christiania, also known as Freetown Christiania (Danish: Fristaden Christiania) is a self-proclaimed autonomous neighbourhood of about 850 residents, covering 34 hectares (85 acres) in the borough of Christianshavn in the Danish capital Copenhagen.

Christiania has been a source of controversy since its creation in a squatted military area in 1971. Its cannabis trade was tolerated by authorities until 2004. Since then, measures for normalising the legal status of the community have led to conflicts, and negotiations are ongoing.

Among many Christiania residents, the community is known as staden ('the town'), short for fristaden ('the freetown').

Well, I agree that with the links you provided, I somehow realized that it would be better to join a team and help them to grow bigger. Since I have friends who are interested of having a forestry organization, we can join together. :)

this is a really cool new art/community space opening soon in Berlin:

http://spektrumberlin.de/home.html

SPEKTRUM is a space of convergence for cultural communities and transdisciplinary groups emerging and operating in and off Berlin. The project aims to bring confrontation, open knowledge and a platforms for idealisation, realisation and presentation of technology-based artworks, science-focused events and futuristic utopias based on the principle “do-it-together-with-others”. Above all, we are an open space promoting participatory processes to co-define and co-design a social and physical playground for curiosity and critical understanding.
