7-Eleven is the largest chain store in the world, with more than 36,000 outlets in eighteen countries, primarily in North America and Asia. The company began in Texas in 1927, but is now owned by Japanese company Seven & I Holdings Co. 7-Eleven earns in excess of $10 billion in annual revenue.
While 7-Eleven stores are primarily retail convenience stores known for the Slurpee and Big Gulp beverage products, in Accra, Ghana, the company operates as a bar, with beers and malt-drinks available for consumption on the premises.
