so this can be a list of the upcoing meetings, detailing what subjects we plan to discuss when. Please feel free to add details as they become apparent

Hi guys,

im not going to make it tomorrow
( i have the swine flu apparently, its going on forever, and my fever shot up finally...not fun.)
but I'm hoping tomorrow we can have decision on Bernard Szajner, the electronica guy from paris.
I heard that we are thinking of maybe giving the august for groups/collectives such as the suitcase was last year, and in this case Szajner would not work. But, should we go with him for one of the slots, I think there could be some sound/music/electronica crossover with Szajner show in the gallery, it would be great for a week. But you, let me know what you think.

Or, if you get enterpreneurial in the meeting, skype me.

I would like to let the guy know finally if he is in or out.

as the last thursday of this month is new years eve i think we can safely say we will not be having a meeting this month!
we will have a meeting on the 10th (action room booked) instead to talk about the festival and also go through submissions. i don;t think we should book in any of the submissions but just clear wheat from chaff and then in january we can have a meeting to book the next slots. does that sound ok? we are booked up until beginning of april so we could always book one in to let us breathe easy a bit more in the new year.

so for january meeting does anyone have anything to bring up apart from promotion, which i am assuming is what mirja and ilaria want to talk about?
i think that we should not do submissions as well as the last meeting ended up being a marathon, so could we do submissions in february to check everything booked in ok etc. and we start off with submissions at the beginning before we lose the will to live!!

hello everyone, in the front of house group we've been talking about collecting peoples pictures and memories in different forms during the 10 years of the forests existance. and making a nice exhibition out of it sometime during the year?
do you like this idea or are you already planning something similar? the total kunst gallery would be a nice place to exhibit it but other parts of the forest would be nice too.

the gallery is nearly booked for the year already cornelia so if you and the group want to put a proposal in i would do it before the meeting in feb when we are looking at proposals. it would be good to be involved and show some of tk has been doing in that time i think.

it is worth noting here that the shop is changing to become a hair salon and massage corner, they will only have a few things for sale in the corner, may be worth talking to magda or alex first about this.

I would like to discuss the proposal of Adam Burton that we discussed in October- the text based stuff- we said we would book him for the next week show. I met him recently when he was in edinburgh and he seemed pretty in tune with the TK agenda so would be keen to go ahead if we can figure out a date.

Hi, we in Front of house have been talking about the 10th anniversary, talked today with a woman from the gallery and I was told that i should show up on the meeting 27th to talk a wee bit about it.

i am concerned about there already being quite a few things to talk in january (postcards, promotion, adam burton). i think the 10 year stuff may be worth talking about at the next meeting in feb when we talk about submissions, which it fits in better with. what do other people think?

hi all, the woman in the gallery was me... knowing something about what we are going to talk in terms of promo ( and trying to keep that concise) , i thought cornelia could come along, as it occurred to me that since the book/art shop is much smaller now, maybe the postcard project can be put together with cornelias 10 year celebration - as it is work done by the forest community, and could be of interest to the same people. so, the postcards from alissa kleist/suitcase series could be part of that effort, rather than have it all separately put forward by the gallery.
I'm fine to talk that over with cornelia again, and for her to come to the feb meeting rather.
Cornelia, im sorry that i have not sent you the images yet but i lost your email address...
could someone mail me...?

Hi people, not going to be able to make it this evening - I'm really sorry - got to work - but i have a couple of points to raise:

1. Heather Tweed would like to know if we can offer her any funding - what's the current position on this? I have explained to her already that if there is anything available it won't be very much...

2. Krzysztof Brudlo is asking if we can give him a date for his show of photographs - his preference would be for some time in the summer before he leaves Edinburgh in August - any thoughts on this?

the main things for the meeting on thurs are:

last TKX slot
May TK32 slot
completion of form for EAF
ten years of cafe show

does anyone else have anything to add? some of these things will take time so i suggest we keep it to these 4 agenda points and start an agenda for march for extra non pressing items

There are alot of submissions to go through and hopefully we will be able to chat about the 10 year show with Cornelia.

Is there something specifically about the web that needs to be discussed? if so can we pre-empt it and hopefully reduce the time needed to discuss it at the meeting?

also- some other questions--

who can make the meeting?
Is Kruno still on ?
How far ahead should we book?
Where do we stand with Icecreamvanman?

having this info up front will make the submissions process alot smoother- would be helpful to also have the slots already worked out- i'll go and do that now...

nah... i think i'll have to take a leave from the suitcase series... there is plenty there to work with for now... i think the summer has 4 things at least coming out of it so i will be busy. i was thinking of a slot in november as last year but i think it will have to be spring 2011. and i think i will close the submissions for the suitcase series for a little while. About the web... i will write a note a little later...

I think we did well getting through the submissions last night, we are almost booked up to christmas at the moment and we still have a few things on the back burner as well.

I propose that we next do submissions again in June, this frees the meetings up to discuss some other stuff...

I also propose that we discuss funding at the April meeting,(too late for the SAC funding sadly) i.e resources we need, what we need it for, where we may be able to get it from, plans of action and how they can be implemented etc. .

I've added these to the list above, let me know what you think.

So the next meeting is next Thursday- we said we were going to talk about potential projects for the future- unfortunately i have a late shift that day so probably won't be able to make it. Which is a shame cos i was looking forward to it.

JULY MEETING 2010

this meeting will be to discuss TK50 in May next year. we would like to do something special. maybe a group show. mirja would like to talk about the possibility of doing a book for the gallery, 50 pages?!

as mirja, and others, will not be at meeting maybe we should change the date to the following thursday(5th aug) or the friday (30th july) night. friday may be best as once into august it goes crazy.

August meeting falls on art late, so we could have meeting at 6pm and then continue with art late. if new people come to the meeting then they will see us in gallery.
