IT (Mike Bennett??!?!)
Brittonie@mail.com &LMorganphotography@gmail.com need to be added to the darkroom@forest email forward.
We need to rework the info on the Darkroom page so it better reflects the new changes including advertisement for new workshops with direct link to a sign up page (max cap 8)
Booking for darkroom slots: linked directly off Forest darkroom main page, it is difficult to find, and perhaps needs some slight adjustments.
Access
There needs to be a system in place that allows people to sign up for specified
Four hour time slots in the darkroom. Those participating in a class will be allotted 1 free slot per week..Others interested in using the darkroom must complete an induction, pay fee, and supply photo at induction for valid forest darkroom ID.

Do forest Vollies get discount for fee, workshop etc? (we didn’t cover this, but I think it needs to be discussed)

Fees
What is the cost of the space itself- rent, water, electricity etc ?
In order for the darkroom to flourish it should bring in enough money to pay its rent, cover chemistry and maintenance, and yield a profit which ideally 100% of would go back into the darkroom to fund new equipment, and allow for more opportunities for people to make art.

Estimated Costs per month
Rent: £50
Chemistry: £50 (based on use)
Maintenance: £30
_______________
£130
It is important that we keep the fees reasonable, so that it is accessible and
affordable to use, but still covers costs (and yields a profit)

Introductory fee= £15 plus photo to make valid Darkroom ID.
(which could be included in the cost of classes for newcomers at a 20% discount)
4 hour slot= £5
2 hour slot= £3

Fee for 8 wk intro to black and white course £20 plus intro fee which includes one 4 hour darkroom slot per student per week.
- However, we expect students to supply many materials themselves including film and paper, which are not cheap. Total estimated cost of the course would be approximately £170 (with lab fee at £50) excluding camera
Paper= £60/ Film= £30 (if bulk rolled)/ Accessories= approx £10/Presentation for exhibition approx £20

I just had a meeting yesterday with Chris about expanding the Cave Booking system to become a general system for booking rooms in the Forest and so the Darkroom will be a part of that. I am hoping to have the system online within the next two weeks.
