Hey hey!!!

We are organizing a filmmaking competition at the Forest! It will start during the film fundraiser on Feb 25th and finish in 48 hours!

The Rules and registration form are attached :)
Have fun! :D

48 Hour FILM Hunt
Forest Intependent Low-cost Movies

Produce your own film in 48 hours!!!

The new FILM Hunt competition challenges you to fully produce a short film in 48 hours. At the beginning of the 48 hour period you come to know the genre and location of your short film. The rest depends on you!

The Hunt is organized by the FOREST for anyone interested in filmmaking regardless of experience! You can be a professional with years of experience or an eager amateur, or perhaps you want to try something you have never tried before!

In any case this FILM Hunt is for you!

The Hunt will start at 8pm on Friday 25th of February during the Forest Film Fundraiser http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?ei ... 5989394787
It will finish at 8pm on Sunday 27th. All the works will be screened immediately. The Jury and the audience will choose the Best Film and the Audience Choice Film respectively.

One week before the contest we will hold a free filmmaking workshop. There you will come to know about basic filmmaking rules in order to follow or break them! The time of the workshop will be announced here shortly!

To produce your film all you need is any type of video recording device, a video editing software, a free weekend and inspiration! Fun will be provided in the process!

Teams and individuals, please register by E-mail: filmhunt48@gmail.com

Please read our competition rules for more details!

Love,

Forest xx

Should we provide free coffee/mate (Buckfast? Scout? :D) for the participants?

providing free food or beverages for participants seems counter to the whole fundraising for forest thing going on now.

I'm not sure.
Maybe for the 48 hours we could give them volly price, even though they're not really volunteering. but a free coffee stash might help out with the spirit of getting a film made in that time... maybe some vouchers?

vouchers are a good idea if they will edit their videos at the Forest. But i think they will do it elswhere. By the rules they will have to go to some part of the city and film, so probably they will edit at home, maybe at night etc.

We could provide free food/coffee for the judges

also as a prize could we get 2 bottles of wine? One for Jury choice and one for Audience choice?
