Batteries and recycling.

Batteries
Shannon will find out if anywhere in Edinburgh can recycle batteries. If there is, then we could set up a battery collection point, as well as point out that people should use rechargeable ones where possible.
Edinburgh Council is way behind other parts of the UK (and the world) in not providing certain recycling facilities...

Including carrier bags, other plastics, and batteries. (Domestic batteries only)

I've looked into it before and I remember there were no facilities for batteries. However I just saw tonight at IKEA they have recycling facilites for batteries, plastic bags and energy saving light bulbs. By the Collection Point and cash points by the exit.

So we could collect batteries and take them down to IKEA I guess.

Good work. Thanks.

We can take some batteries down next time we are going on a pear cider run.
