High Weirdness By Mail

Can anyone tell me if the library was allocated a budget.
It would be great to build it into a vast small press resource.
There's some first rate titles on the shelves right now but no-one can sit and read a novel in a day (maybe that's why a lot of books disappear)
It's been ten years since I was seriously in touch,
back then I subscribed to
Bypass (catalogue for british zines)and
Factsheet 5 (catalogue for American zines)
it seems they are still flourishing both on and offline

Factsheet 5

I've signed up to FS5 Mailing List and will reprint each post out here.
It would also be great to send out and get all our publications listed.
Of course the sweetness of the zine scene is that most publications are offered for exchange.
Lastly security is tough, and zines will no doubt disappear.
Maybe a great sign above the shelves written in undark paint stating
STEALING FROM LIBRARIES IS A SOCIAL EVIL
would work as a someway deterrent.

For him that stealeth a Book from this Library, let it change into a serpent in his hand and rend him. Let him be struck with Palsy, and all his Members blasted. Let him languish in Pain crying aloud for Mercy and let there be no sur-cease to his Agony till he sink in Dissolution. Let Bookworms gnaw his Entrails in token of the Worm that dieth not, and when at last he goeth to his final Punishment, let the flames of Hell consume him for ever and aye.

No one can read the novels in a day, which is why they are supposed to be swap me books. I think it is at least lessening the theft...

In any case, zines = good. I reckon the library should have a small budget for such, if it doesn't already. I reckon the community group might like to get a few as well, with part of our small budget...
